Pedro is based in Portugal. Rohan is based in California.

Across different countries, time zones, and lives, we found a shared creative vision and used it to bring Solarium to life.

Pedro first reached out to Rohan in August 2025, when the concept was  a small seed. We quickly discovered a shared interest in exploring glass through icon design: how it bends light, creates depth, and reveals what lies beneath it. We studied the history of icon design, visual systems, and the ways symbols are interpreted across digital products.

What started as a small collaboration became months of experimentation and refinement. We continued exploring and conceptualizing the work until Solarium became more ambitious.

With Solarium, we wanted to explore what an app icon could feel like when treated as more than a symbol. Every icon was designed as part of a larger visual world, with careful attention to material, lighting, perspective, color, and consistency. In an age of AI slop, we wanted to pour our love into visual craft.

Solarium is the result of two people, thousands of miles apart, combining their perspectives to make something neither of us could have created alone.
